About Us

Jason is from Langdon, Alberta - a small town just east of Calgary. He is a dual-ticketed machinist millwright. He is currently working up in Fort McMurray, AB, on and off throughout the year. 

Jason moved into Calgary after finishing high school as he started working in the city at a machine shop. He stayed in the city, close to work and friends, until Sarah convinced him to  move to Cochrane

Jason had volunteered with FIRST Robotics for many years, including working events in Istanbul, Turkey, for a couple years. One of these local robotics events is how we met, introduced by a mutual friend. 

Sarah is from Markham, Ontario - a city just outside of Toronto. She is an accountant with a few degrees and designations. She is currently working in Calgary specializing in corporate tax. 

Sarah moved to Calgary in October 2019 with her dog George, after living a year in Vancouver. She moved here for work, securing a full time position in her company's Calgary office after finishing school. 

Sarah joined a rec hockey team when she first moved to Calgary to try to meet some new people. One of her teammates invited her to the local robotics event where her and Jason were introduced. 

After dating through a pandemic, we decided to move in together into a house in the Inglewood neighbourhood of Calgary. We lived there for 2 years, slowly restoring the 1913 home that we were living in. This is where Lani joined our family. She was a rescue from Arizona who needed a big brother to help her get comfortable with the world again. George was happy to step right into that role, showing Lani how to live her best life again.
